Water resistant one-component polyurethane adhesive
The product Eurokoll PU501 is a one-component polyurethane adhesive hygroindurente, characterized by a high water resistance, solvent-free.
AREA OF USE
Eurokoll PU 501 is suitable for bonding that requires excellent moisture resistance. Widely used for the production of cold rooms, insulating walls, caravans, in detail:
- wood and wood derivatives;
- chalk;
- plasterboard;
- metal;
- brick and concrete;
- extruded or expanded polystyrene;
- rock wool;
- fibrocement;
- particle board;
- sheets of steel;
- laminated and polyester.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE APPLICATION
The substrates to be assembled must be smooth, dry, dust-free and free of grease or other contaminants that could adversely affect the bonding performance.
Apply the adhesive on one of the substrates to be glued with brush, toothed spatula or extrusion with airless pump.
One of the materials to be glued must be porous or contain moisture. In the case of two non-porous materials, spray a light water mist (10 to 15 g/m2) on the adhesive film. The grip time depends on humidity and temperature. Assembly must be carried out immediately and with a uniform pressure applied over the entire surface. Strong pressure is not necessary, but the materials must remain in contact during the pressing time.
Coating : 100 – 250 g/m² depending on the material to be glued.
PRECAUTIONS
The product can be harmful if inhaled and irritate eyes, respiratory tract and skin. Harmful vapours may develop in the process at temperatures above 40 ºC
